Any member of a group chat can add their Status contacts to the chat. A group chat can have 20 members at most, including the creator. Because of Status' privacy-focused design, new joiners can't see the previous message history.

From the tab bar, tap
Messages

Tap the group chat you want to add new members to.

From the top navigation, tap
More options

Tap
Add members
. If you're the group chat owner, this reads
Add / remove members
for you.

Check the boxes next to the contacts you want to invite. Once you're done, tap
Confirm changes
